Lipid Specialists, SC

Lipid Specialists, SC, is a "cash or charge" medical practice model, which is similar to a direct-pay practice. What differs from other direct-pay medical practice models is that patients of Lipid Specialists, SC, do not need to pay any copay, membership fee, registration fee, or monthly/annual fee. Claims are not sent to insurance companies, eliminating contracts, third-party billing, fee-for-service payments and the need for relationships with payers. Please note the following:

  • Dr. Eldridge chooses not to accept patients who have state insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid because doing otherwise would put limitations on her ability to have a cash-only practice.
  • If you are a patient and you join a state insurance plan, Medicare, or Medicaid, you must notify Dr. Eldridge immediately as she will no longer be able to be your consulting physician.
  • You may be eligible for reimbursement upon submission of the receipt by your flexible spending account (FSA) or health savings account (HSA), but there is no guarantee that your insurer will reimburse any costs related to your appointment.
